Head of Business Engagement, OPSS

Michael Kearney serves as the Head of Business Engagement at the Office for Product Safety & Standards. In this role, he oversees the quarterly ‘Business Reference Panel’, where more than 200 trade association members convene to deliberate on OPSS's initiatives and the broader regulatory landscape. Michael is responsible for fostering strong relationships with the business community to ensure that OPSS comprehensively grasps diverse business perspectives and actively involves businesses in its programs. Before taking on his current role, Michael held the position of Head of Enforcement at OPSS and has accumulated extensive experience in enforcement roles since 2006.
